Faerie Ember gets a new costume

Miss Ember gets new wings! Take a peek at her new, super fancy faerie costume *smile*...

New Cowgirl Character!

Meet our Cowgirl.
Miss Ember is modeling our brand new costume,
which is fun for both little ladies and gentlemen.

Our Cowgirl has been a long time in the works. Some people who know me personally laugh about the fact that I never, ever wear jeans (I am a skirt and dress person)...so it was hard for me to create a character that is typically centered around jeans. I stumbled upon some jean fabric in the store awhile ago...and just dreaded making pants. I thought...bloomers? Ruffles? Wait......ah-ha! Ruffly jean skirt! Yay!

Outstanding Praise for Faerie Lina!

Despite all the rain this weekend...this wonderful grown-up found a free minute to make my day. Take a peek at what he wrote about our Faerie, Miss Lina...

Dear Fae Diddle Diddle,

I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the most wonderful event we had with our fairy Miss Lina. Her personality and performance during the celebration of my twins first birthday party had the attending children ecstatic and mesmerized, even the adults were attentive and entertained at her show --albeit some of us were also impressed at her beauty despite her advanced age of 400+ fairy years. I am so happy that everything worked out for our particular celebration date. Miss Lina engaged older children with her magic show, and the smaller children with such wonderful display of puppetry, that you had them answering at unison whenever she wanted to ask them a question. It was wonderful, and marvelous to have a real life fairy. Children were lined-up for face painting and the balloon animals.

So, I want to give her my special thanks for making our event so memorably, and I thank her for her most appreciated disposition to remain sufficient time, so that every kid had her face painted and her balloon animal. Because a year from now, most people and children may not remember whose birthday was celebrated when, but they surely will remember the birthday where fairy Miss Lina came. Thus, on behalf of my little princesses, myself, and the rest of us, thank you.

Sincerely,
Ralph

P.S. I have already distributed the business cards, from your company, she gave me to other parents. I know for sure, I will be calling for her whenever we have another event.

Organic Bagged Lunches? Really?

Today, on this rainy, grey day, Miss Fae Diddle Diddle flew over to our local Whole Foods in Santa Cruz to help promote a healthy idea! Our friends at Organic Bag Lunch (.com) are starting a wonderful service in our little city by the sea.

I don't think they are going to stop there! They plan on reaching several cities around the Bay Area...and with all their hard work, they want to take part of the proceeds and help feed hungry children around the world!

Check them out. If you are tired of trying to be creative with your lunches (for children AND grown-ups! Yes! They will deliver their fantastic meals to offices too!), they are offering the first week free!

TGIF? I don't know about that.

Fridays for most 'normal people' involve ending their work day and planning their 'off work' activities. For Faeries? Oh-so-different. It's Monday for us! I spent 6 hours sewing new costumes for Miss Ember (check back soon...it is beyond pretty....probably the fanciest Faerie costume I've made yet...think gold and cream...oh my!) and Miss Jewels (a new Circus Girl costume! Yay for EXTRA sparkly fabric!). On top of those 6 hours were another 6 on the phone getting ready for the big weekend (confirming details, last minute requests....woo hoo!). My living room is a disaster, and all I can think of is how I don't have time to clean it up because starting tomorrow...a full 3 day weekend of performing is about to begin. Here we go. And Mr. Vacuum? I'll get to you some other time. Promise. No, really. *smile*

Sending in the Faerie Dust

In light of the overwhelming earthquake in Haiti...we've gathered our magic and are sending some over to those who need it more than we do. Happily Ever Laughter has donated a pinch to Haiti, can you too? Pretty please? With sugar on top? Hey, it will make more than just us Faeries happy. Go for it...feel extra sparkly today and toss some help their way!

Reviews, Reviews, Reviews

This weekend ended with several 'Thank You' notes from parents in my inbox, so instead of just posting them here, I am went and redesigned our entire Review Page! Now you can see individual reviews from each of our talented performers, as well as peek at photos of us in action! Most of our web page has the pretty photos that I have taken of the Faeries, and now you can see what we look like when we actually arrive at an event. Happy reading!

What a way to end the day!

Today was a big day! We went from having a normal weekend schedule this upcoming weekend to being almost completely full in just a matter of hours! Just as I was getting ready to settle down for the evening, a last little email popped up that just made my day. Thank you mama Terra for your wonderful email...it makes all of this hard work completely worth it!

"I am so impressed with your company! Faerie Lina made my Elaine's 3rd birthday complete. She was so professional, yet very easy to approach, cute, talented and funny. I can't talk highly enough about your service. Your website is true to the the saying "What you see is what you get." I will definitely invite a Faerie back to another party (maybe not with 50 people this time!) Thanks again, Terra"
